What is Seedance 2.5?

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video generation model. It turns a text prompt — or a text prompt plus an image — into a short clip with synchronized audio, camera motion and cinematic lighting. On HivePic it runs through fal.ai, so there is no API key to manage and no software to install.

You control resolution (480p, 720p or 1080p), length (4 to 10 seconds), aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16 or 1:1) and whether the clip gets an audio track. The credit cost of every combination is shown in the generator before you submit.

Text to video

Describe the subject, the motion and the camera move in plain language. Seedance 2.5 handles the rest: pacing, lighting and a matching audio track. Write in any language — prompts are translated to English before they reach the model.

Image to video

Upload a photo and it becomes the first frame. Describe the motion you want — a slow push-in, drifting clouds, a turning head — and the model animates the still while keeping the composition. The dedicated image-to-video page walks through it.

Prompt tips

Describe the motion, not just the scene

"A lighthouse at golden hour, slow push-in" gives the model a camera move to perform. A scene with no motion instruction tends to sit still.

Name the lighting and the look

Cinematic, documentary, editorial film, macro — a named look produces a consistent grade instead of a generic render.

Keep one subject per clip

Short clips hold together best around a single subject and one clear action. Save multi-scene stories for separate generations.

Use the samples as starting points

Every sample on this page shows its full prompt and settings. Load one into the generator and change a few words to make it yours.
